Autocross Racing
Autocross is a timed competition in which drivers navigate one at a time through a defined course on either a sealed or an unsealed surface racing against the clock rather than other cars. These courses are typically one to two kilometres long and tend to place demands on car handling and driver skill rather than on engine power and outright speed. Courses may be temporary and marked by traffic cones or be permanent tracks with approval by a motorsport body.

Rally Racing
Rallying is a form of motor sport that takes place on public or private roads. It is distinguished by running in a point-to-point format in which participants and their co-drivers drive between set control points, leaving at regular intervals from the start points. There are two main forms: stage and road rallies. Timing Ireland can deliver both starting as well as intermediate and finish timing equipment including starting clock to ensure the regular intervals.

Race Track
Motorsport on a race track can be extremely fast. Nevertheless, close finishes of two or more participants are possible. To prove who won the race, a photo finish camera is used.
